Past Events
Billionaires
for Tax Breaks - To celebrate tax day, we pretended to be billionaires
.... Hmmm, use my refund to buy a Land Rover or a Lexus? Decisions,
decisions! It was a fun way to highlight the not-so-fun fact
that average-income families in Washington pay a much greater percentage of
earnings in taxes than billionaires do.
Estate Tax Day with Bill
Gates Sr. - Along with
Responsible Wealth, the WA Tax Fairness
Coalition held a press conference and lobby day with Mr. Gates. He
gets it: you don't get rich without a
lot of help from other taxpayers' investments, so when it's your turn to
give back, step up.
Backbone
Campaign Rally - Around Olympia last session, it wasn't a bird or a
plane, it was ... a giant backbone! We urged legislators to shows us
theirs by approving tax investments necessary to close the budget shortfall
and provide the core services we all rely on.
