So who is the Washington Tax Fairness Coalition, you ask? 

We're over 70 state and local organizations with tens of thousands of members who've come together to tackle one of the thorniest issues confronting our state:  taxes. 

Not everybody's favorite subject, but more and more, groups and individuals are recognizing that the kind of communities we want to live and work in means pooling enough resources to invest in the things we all need.

Things like infrastructure (roads, bridges), services (public hospitals, courts, libraries), safety (fire, police, EMS) and things that make the future brighter and the economy stronger (schools and universities that educate tomorrow's workforce). 

Our Coalition includes community, labor, senior, health, education, environmental, faith-based organizations. 

They've committed time, energy and resources to making our state's tax system fair, with everyone, including the wealthy and businesses, contributing their fair share. 

They're determined to get us off the state budget roller-coaster ride (not the fun kind), where we take a few steps forward toward common goals and then slash vital services because of regular shortfalls.
